A*STAR Youth Scholarship 2018 in Singapore for Indian Students

Singapore’s Ministry of Education is giving A*STAR India Youth scholarship for students of India who are continueing Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced’ (GCE ‘A’) Level (or equivalent) certificate.

Details – A*STAR Youth Scholarship:

» Candidates who are selected for theis scholarship will be provided anual allovance of S$2,200 (Secondary) / S$2,400 (Pre-University) with hostel fecility.
» Candidates will be provided Settling-in allowance of S$400 (once only).
» Students will also provided Return economy class air passage.
» School fees Coverage (excluding miscellaneous fees).
» Scholarship will also cover GCE ‘O’ Level and ‘A’ Level exam fees
» Singapore A*STAR Youth Scholarship offers Subsidized medical benefits and accident insurance cover.
» A*STAR Youth Scholarship will be provided up to four years

This scholarship will be given to the candidates who are selected in Singapore schools Secondary Three to Pre-University Two and is renewed annually, subject to the satisfactory performance of the scholar.

Eligibility – Singapore  A*STAR Youth Scholarship:

» Students must be Indians.
» Students who are born between the years 2000 and 2002.
» Candidates who are completed 8th standared in 2018 year.
» Should have outstanding academic track record (at least an average of 80% / minimum ‘A’ with English as first language in the Standards 7 and 8 school final examinations).
» Students have to possess a high level of oral and written competency in English.

» Willing students have to send their certificates which are certified to the Singapore Ministry of Education.

Candidates need to send the following certificates carefully:

» Certificates candidates need to enclose along with scholarship application:
» Birth Certificate
» Identity Card / Passport (if any)
» Final Examination Result Slips for the last two years (Standards 7 and 8 final examinations)
» A*STAR Youth Scholarship / < Indicate online application number for online applicants>

Remember Dates:

Last Date to Apply A*STAR Youth Scholarship :July 17th 2018.
Scholarship Selection Test: August last week to early September. 2018.
Scholarship Selection Interview: October last week to early November, 2018,
Scholarship Provided Time: Mid to late November, 2018.
Scholar Arrival in Singapore: Late December, 2018.

Names of Students list will be short listed for sake of Selection Test and Interview. The list will be released a week before.
