Brahmanism Origination Varna Systems Vedic Age Samskaras Ashramas: Brahmanism was one of the ancient religions in India. It was formed with the set of religious concepts or ideas and beliefs that originated in the Vedic age (1500BC to 600BC). Brahmanism reached its matured stage in 800 BC and continued up to 600 BC.

Brahmanism Beliefs:

The important thing in the Brahmanism is the Varna system. They had a great belief in the Varna system.
According to this Varna System They divided the people into four groups.
They are
Brahmans
Kshatriyas
Vaisyas
Sudras
In the Brahmanism people followed Varna dharma. Varna dharma means that each Varna has its own functions. These functions were especially meant for the certain Varna system like

Brahmins: praying to god, preaching and teaching (performing teaching learning process)
Kshatriyas: Fighting for defense and saving the country and people from the enemies.
Vaisyas: Performing trade
Sudras: Serving the other remaining three Varnas
In Brahmanism people believed karma theory. It means the present as a consequence of the past deeds.
People performed sacrifices and rituals
Brahmanism believed in Samsara. It means the cycle of birth and death.

Brahmans have the belief in samskaras

Namakarana
Annaprasana
Upanayana
Vivaha

In Brahmanism people had the belief in Ashramas and they followed it.

There are four ashramas…..
Brahmacharya
Grihastha
Vanaprastha
Sanyasa
