The Ramon Magsaysay Award Winners From 1958 to 2015: The Award was established in the memory of Ramon Magsaysay the former President of Philippines. The Ramon Magsaysay Award was established in April 1957. The trustees are Rockefeller Brothers. It is said that this award is equal the Nobel Prize in Asia. This award is given to only Asian individuals who are excellent in their respective fields.
In six categories the Ramon Magsaysay’s award will be given.
In these five categories were discontinued effective 2009.
